Comments: how would we apply for some funding for our service which is a respite service for chgildren and young people with disabilities. We fund raise for our amenities funds to provide experiential fun learning opportunities for our children! Last year we provided a scarecrow and we will be presenting our cellotape sculptures this year (Sonny and Cher)

Comments: Hullo, If someone could find the time to respond to me, I would be very grateful for any advice (other than don't do it) on how you go about putting on a scarecrow festival. I belong to a group that is thinking of doing something along the lines of a scarecrow convention in out town (folkestone). We want it to bring everybody together to enjoy a good day/week of fun. Thank you.

Comments: Hi, I would like to offer my opinion upon recently vsiting the Scarecrow Festival this weekend. First of all congratulations to all the people who took time out to make this festival a truly enjoyable day out. Car parking was well organised, with some good markings to guide you round. However, i would suggest a couple of ideas to improve on for 2013. Colour code the routes, 1 for walkers and another for drivers. Improve the mapping, some road names were incorrect and not enough detail on the 2012 map (maybe include landmarks or house names on routes). Along with this a scale would be useful too to know atual distances of the proposed walks. If this could be included with a rough guide to how long the walk would take would be highly appreciated. On route we asked a number of people how far the trail was, with little knowledge about it. When you have little ones with you it can become a long day for them walking 3 hours or more. I hope these suggestions are met with the good spirit they are intended with and look forward to visiting Norland again next year. Kind regards Paul

Comments: had a great time at the 2011 festival as always though came away a little frustrated by not being able to identify some of the scarecrows, would be good if a map with all the scarecrows identified could be published on the website, is there anyway to find out who they all were?

Comments: We would like to congratulate you on the wonderful organisation of the scarecrow festival. It was a first outing for my husband since being in hospital and we were surprised and grateful for the kind consideration we were shown. The super car park attendant who brought his chair for my husband to sit on whilst I parked the car and even parked it for me when it proved too difficult for me. The lovely young man who took us on the mini bus around all the scarecrows and gave us a commentary and answered all our questions. The friendly ladies in the church - great cup of tea and home made jam and scone. Everyone really very friendly - what a lovely day. Thank you so much. Sincerely.. Shirley and John PS.Nearly forgot. The scarecrows were fantastic!! Well done everyone!

Comments: First time visiting yesterday and had a great time. Did forget to write favourite on sheet as was rushing to post it and catch the opentop bus for a ride! Our vote went to Noah and the Whale, did write that at top so hope it counted! Think that the very steep path that was labelled as pedestrian route near the black eyed peas entry should have been labelled as such as it was very slippy due to the light rain and not being from the area we didn't know what it was like and my daughter did fall. Really enjoyed it and hope our festival goes as well in 2 weeks time! Well done everyone

Comments: We did the scarecrow trail this morning & loved it. We had a lovely walk & our 3 year old son thought the scooby doo & shaggy scarecrows were the best, although my favourite was The Flintstones. It's a shame you can't enter the competition online afterwards as we didn't have time to go back to the playing fields to hand in our completed sheet. We'll def be back next year though.
