Dave is a knowledgeable and very hard working guide and Dave and Ali are both great people.
The carp weren't having it while I was there with only one 25lb fish banked. But on te 2nd day I landed in the region of 40
bass.

A fantastic day, never carp fished before yesterday, but what a day it was. Dave was so helpful and encouraging and the surroundings
sublime. Nothing was too mucheap trouble and our group of four hit it off so well, the icing on the cake was that I was rewarded
with three excellent fish.I would highly recommend you try it girl's, not just for men. One of the best experiences I have
ever had and if I return to Gran Canaria it will be the first trip I book !

I'd always wanted to fish Chira - it's one of the venues with real history and of course those fish are a bit special!! I
knew Dave and Ali would be the right people to go with and they really helped to make it a memorable trip. It was seriously
hot in the August sun but the fish still fed and we caught plenty of those scaly mirrors that the lake is so famous for. Dave
knows the waters out there better than anyone and I knew I'd be in for a good time ..... and that's how turned out - a great
time and plenty of fish!!!! cheers Dave and Ali :-) |

What a honeymoon!, Just the two of us in a very tranquil place, piece and quiet, beautiful mountains and a lake which is a
lot bigger then I first thought it would be. My wife learnt fast how to net the 25 carp I caught to 32lb over our 4 day stay...
although sun bathing and a good book was more what she had in mind. Nights spent on the apartment veranda drinking and chilling
together was just perfect although a bit of romance was in order later that week so we booked into a five star hotel for the
remainder of our stay in a Gran Canaria... after all she had agreed to go carp fishing on our honeymoon. Dave and Ali were
fantastic right from the initial booking right the way through to ensuring everything was in place on the bank to just to
turn up & fish, we had a relaxed enjoyable stay so much so we shall be back next year hoping to beat my 32lb carp :-) |

Dave picked me up at 6:50 am took me up the mountains to lake chira. Had a brilliant days carp fishing everybody in our group
caught carp . Scottish Paul had the biggest of the day at 27 lb 8 oz I had one at 17 lb 8 oz had a great laugh couldn't go
wrong with Dave he is a top angler one of the best I have fished with . Couldn't go wrong on his gran canaria boilies . Thanks

Hi Dave, both I and John had a great 4 day session in September, and the fish were very fair, we caught 50 between us, ( 25
each ) between 13:40 on Friday and 23:50 on Monday. I was feeling lazy after that, but John caught another 3 on Tuesday morning
before we left.

monday 17 aug 2014 i booked a 1 day fihingtrip.
and what a perfect day it was.
picked up by my hotel and went up the mountains with 2 english guys,ian and H (henry)
the trip to and back trough the mountains is spectacular!!!!!
arriving at the lake is something to remember.
the set-up was simple but effective.
we had 4 spectaculair pretty fish,not a 20+ pound monster ,lost a few,and had 8 or 9 runs.
holland beats england!!!!! (i had 2)

We spent 5 days at Lake Chira and had an absolute ball, the fishing was brilliant as was the weather (don't pay attention
to the weather reports its completely different in the mountains) Dave and Steve are excellent, very knowledgeable and eager

thanks for a great day yesterday (and not forgetting Steve as well). To beat my personal best caught many many years ago
and to top that with a 22lb Mirror just completed a terrific day. The only downside was that my Dad (my fishing partner in
crime for the last 47 years) was sadly not there but had he still been in the land of the living then he would definately
have enjoyed it himself .......... albeit it might have been a bit hot for him !!. When I am next on the island I will without

We booked the 2 day special (1 day deep sea fishing and a day in the mountains carp fishing). Both days were great experiences
but the Carp fishing was the crowning experience of our hols. We both got PB's - with fish ranging from 23-33lb and our guide
on the day, Steve was a pleasure to have around and really added value with his experience and local knowledge and baiting
techniques. It remains a memorable and outstanding highlight of our short trip to Gran Canaria and I would and have been
recommending it to others (although I would like to keep this hidden gem to those who truly would appreciate the beauty and

Thanks for a fantastic day with our guide Gary and our German friend Lars. My sons Douglas and Hugo got carpfishing as a Christmas

As usual June,July fantastic fishing with plenty of fish and many 20s,30s all to day trip clients.Augusts arrival and the
fishing went ballistic,fishing with the Nash classic boilie and over the 1st 2 weeks we had over 76 carp.Justin having 31
fish in 4 days,Jamie and his son 16 fish in 3 days,John who writes for the pike magazine- Essox fancied a change,and caught
21 carp in 3 days,all the clients having fish in their mid 30s.Brian our regular client came back for a PB,and had 3 30s,32,33,35
all PBS along with 2 20s all in 7 hours!!Again all on the scopex,amazing,there has been so many different carp caught over
the years there must be 1000s and 1000s in Lake Chira,after 25 years of fishing this lake it amazes me and everyone around
me!August,September and October were extremely hot with temp to mid 40s really busy months for us here and still catching
amazing amounts of carp to all sizes on our day trips to 35lb.
Also catching some beautiful mirrors from other lakes on the island,and we are now offering Fly/Survive fishing 24hr trips
or holidays at another venue on Gran Canaria with carp in excess of 55lb,most of these not seeing or knowing what a bait is!!Our
holiday clients also having great results and all experiencing the fight of the wild canary carp...until the next time Dave

I had a days carp Fishing out with Dave and had an amazing day out. The location is unlike any other carp venue i'm used to
with the rocky back drop. We had a few fish out with the biggest at 28 1/2lb I have to say the Carp in here are extremely
strong and are some of the prettiest looking fish. Dave is very knowledgable and was good company throughtout the day. I highly

Just got back from Lake Chira. Had the fishing trip of a lifetime, 4 nights in amazing surroundings catching carp that put
up a fight like nothing I've experienced in my 20 years of fishing,I couldn't tell the 30's from the low doubles till they
were landed. I thought my arms were going to fall off, the fish were feeding so hard. I even had to take a night off, i never
thought that was possible being such a keen angler. I was catching constantly through the day and night, on a couple of occasions
there were runs on both rods the first time I needed a hand off the guy on a day excursion and .Typically i landed the smallest,
shame as the other was the first 30 of the trip, he was over the moon though.These amazing four days came to an end with a
total of 41 fish, the biggest being a perfect 33lb common. They were all caught on the simple tactics recommended, tigernuts
and Daves special particle mix.I ended up using over 60 kilos purchased from Dave at a low price. Both Dave and the other
guide Derek were great, at hand with whatever we needed. And anyone with a dubious other half? well mine had an amazing time
basking in what she described as "paradise" We are both looking forward to our return trip and would recommend it to anyone. |

All I can say is WHAT A TRIP! Take my advice, take a right turn and skip France with their overcaught ugly carp, because Lake
Chira will simply take your breathe away. The carp here are amazing, hard fighting, mostly uncaught and beautiful huge scales.
The runs are absolute screamers i'm not kidding hold onto your rod! Dave and Alison will make your holiday run so smoothly
you can relax and can enjoy the fishing and the sun. Come On The Carp! |

I want to say a big thank you to davenport and Allison for making this possible I fished lake chisira with dave in august
for a day and caught three stunning fish. It was a truly magical place with only three of us fishing the whole lake. Dave
is great company we had a good laugh as we chilled out with our feet in the water will I be back that's a no brainer see you

Thankyou for a great day out up in the mountains,the weather was hot and the two carp I managed to get we're both personal
bests. 21 and 23.5 lb fish both mirrors in emaculate condition and almost scale perfect, The thing boyhood dreams are made

Just wanted to say that we had an awesome day out with you.

Had a great day fishing Tues. 04 Sept. the wife outfished me once again and upped her personal best to over 25lbs. I caught
two 19 and 18lbs and lost what I think would have been a monster!.

Just got back from a 5 night trip on Chira, guided by Steve who worked tirelessly to keep us on the fish we took 28 between
us up to 36lb. The fishing was fantastic, building up one spot in particular really paid off with 11 fish in the last 24
hours rounding off a brilliant trip. I can't recommend the guided option enough, Steve had us off the mark within 3 hours
of getting the rods out on night one and they kept coming after that. We fished 4 different swims and caught from all of
them with an average size of probably 23lb over the 4 days. Beautiful looking fish, all peviously unhooked in stunning surroundings
I'm really hoping I'll make it back out to do it again. |

just returned from hotel Vistamar grand canaria where i'd booked a 24hr fishing session on lake Chaira, Dave and Steve picked
me up from the hotel at 8am and arrived at the lake at 9am.Fished with steve (fishing guide very helpful could have taken
gold in rowing in the olympics. Steve rowed all baits out to baited areas, had ten runs between us, my best fish was a beautiful
20pound ghostie, not the biggest but certainly one of the rarest from lake Chira. Brilliant experience will definietely be
back again, if only for the ride back down the mountain with Dave Beecham, all round top man! |

What a day. 3 loverly clean wild carp in a short day session. Didn't see another soul all day and the wildlife is great.
There are monsters in this res, large fish crashing and rolling all over the place. I will be back that's for sure.

We went fishing in the end of june. Because of the heat we had to wait a couple of days. But it was wel worth it. In 5 hours
we had 5 runs and caught 3 carps. Dave's hospitality was great. His driving skills were even better. Dont know gave me the

Just returned from my holiday in Gran Canaria. During one of the days of my holiday, I managed to get away fishing with Dave
from Canary Island Carp Fishing tours. When dave picked me up at my hotel at 6am, the temperature was already 36 degrees c
and rising by the minute. I managed two stunning carp to low 20's after only 5hrs fishing. The lake is absolutely amazing,
and dave and alison's hospitality is second to none. Anybody looking for the perfect remedy to the hustle and bustle of every

Fishing was FANTASTIC! Did 2 trips, a 24 hrs session and a regular day trip. During the 24 hrs session I upped my PB 3 times,
first with a 30lb common, then topped it with a real beauty of 35lb mirror. Had a beautiful night under the stars with just
a bedchair and sleeping bag, I set my PB again at 36lb mirror. Had a great fishing mate, Steve from the UK and had so much
fun together.
On the day trip I did get an other one, a beautiful 22 lb mirror.

Hi, Dave. Can't thank you enough for a great day out on Sunday. You sure know what the score is about Lake Chira! In only
6 hours fishing I smashed my PB with a 37lb 8oz mirror. What a stunning looking creature it was too. You said I would catch
and so it proved, the fish putting up a tremendous fight into the bargain. My companions for the day, Henrik and Janne also
had 2 thirties within minutes of mine and went on to have another 6 fish only 2 of them under thirty pounds!Excellent guiding
skills coupled with genuine enthusiasism for your work make you the 'Boss'. Once again thanks for a memorable day and as Arnie

HI Dave just a quick note to thank you for a fantastic week fishing with you , everything was better than we could imagine
, the apartment cosy comf clean and well equiped , the fishing the views , the huge amount of water and carp per fisherman
, then to top it all a man that talks plain simple fishing dosnt look down on the less experienced and is friendly helpfull
enthusiastic , the whole experience was perfect and although we have only been home a week we are wanting to come back asap
, vicki wasthe same she loved it all the fishing the place everything , we even slept out under the brilliant moonlight with
ne bivvy it was so pleasant , just us the stars and the ducks farting { well vicki said it was the ducks },,, maybe if id
listened to your advise from the start i would have caught more but id really watched too many danny fairbrass videos to think
it could be so easy !!! anyway when i eventually took your advise i landed my pb a 36lb04oz beautifull wild carp plus a few
other stunning carp , and for a man that left his hook tip protectors on all night then forgot the bait , and didnt listen
to your sound advise i would say even the least experienced novice is going to feel like a pro , so many massive stunning

We had the best day ever, Dave couldnt have been more helpful, what a lovely guy he is. Far exceeded our expectations with

holiday of a life time smashed my previous personal best 4 times in a week with 4x 30s upto 36 ,14 20+s and some good bass
for the kids , excellent set up from dave and alison very helpful and ruly do cater for all needs and requirements , i thort
arrhhh nice relaxing bit o carp fishing in the mountains doin bit of reading and teaching the kids a few things and that,
mmnn i was a bit wrong on that score ha ha , first day dave sorted all the gear out and put our baits on the spots he had
advised wished us luck for the night . dave shouted txt me or ring if you get out ?? , an hour later hi dave just had a 35.2pound
mirror it was like playing a car honest! , from lisnening to dave (top man) we had over 500pound of fish in about 50 hours

Thanks Dave, Had a great weeks fishing with my son Dan. My first time fishing for Carp & got a 34lb on line & still managed
to phone for help. Dan did his PB of 38lb. Beautiful place, great fish, we will be back for even bigger ones. Keep up the
great work. |
