Comments: Gloria Bonfield was my teacher in Haliburton Browndale, when in 1974 at the age of 27, she was killed by a Drunk Driver. This accident which happened in Carnarvon was a traumatic experience for me at the time as I was one of many other survivors in the school van that was hit. Numerous people were seriously injured. Both drivers in the other car, were killed. A beautiful young person who's life was cut short. I was 8 years old at the time.

Comments: Patrice O'Donnell: Patrice was at Warrendale with me in the mid to late 60's. She was a beautiful young woman with turquoise eyes. We had been in foster care together prior to Browndale. Sadly Patrice's life led her to a life of addiction and incarceration. At the time of writing her poems (re-published from Tightwire), Patrice was a prisoner at Kingston's Prison For Women (P4W), who was suffering from AIDS. She died December 8th 1990, at Kingston General Hospital after being transported from the prison. RIP Patrice. You can now fly free!

As expected I was to give the eulogy I spoke of the memories we shared Fond memories of Browndale and there after. We shared everything. I also spoke of the atrocities inflicted on such an innocent boy. mostly I spoke of the children all the neffews, nieces and even freinds of theirs and how it is our responsibility to love them as brothers and sisters, without judgement or envy, I mentioned, how in its purity. There is no other single word to descibe love, adore maybe its not quite. There are many single words to describe hate
